Bagallery, a Karachi-based beauty, and fashion e-commerce startup, raised $4.5 million in Series A funding from Zayn Capital, Lakson Venture Capital, and Hayaat Global.

Elevator Pitch: Access to high-end fashion and beauty brands from all around the world.

Tell me more: E-commerce is dominated by fashion and beauty products. There are few international brands available in Pakistan, and those that do ship have exorbitant shipping fees.

Bagallery provides an alternative for this by offering international products at affordable prices. The website’s product range features skincare, makeup, fragrances, handbags, watches, and clothing.

Bagallery’s online store now offers 20,000 products and 2,000 brands. There are live sessions and deals to make the shopping experience more engaging.

You should know: Bagallery was founded by husband and wife duo Salman Sattar and Mina Salman in 2017. They have a 40% female workforce, and most of their customers are also female.

Before this round, the startup raised $900,000 in pre-Series A funding in 2020. With this new round of funding, Bagallery has now raised a total of $5.4 million.

Since the seed round, the company has had a four-fold increase in valuation and seen a three-fold increase in revenue.

Before you go: Bagallery will use this funding to launch new products next year and introduce an influencer platform to let customers and influencers connect through their website.
