ezWifi, an Islamabad-based internet sharing startup, has raised an undisclosed amount in pre-seed funding from E42 Ventures and Naeem Zamindar, an angel investor.

Elevator Pitch: Helping businesses earn money by providing free WiFi service to their customers.

Tell me more: ezWiFi enables brick-and-mortar businesses to make money by offering their customers free internet through ezWiFi.

Restaurants and cafes typically provide their customers with free internet services, but ezWifi allows them to make money from it.

When a customer connects to a restaurant or cafe’s wifi and views an advertisement, the business earns money from ezWiFi, which pays for the installation.

ezWiFi also offers businesses a mobile and web application where they can view analytics, run promotions, build customer lists, collect feedback and manage multiple locations.

You should know: ezWifi was founded in November 2021 by Sher Ali Khan.

The startup has signed up more than 100 business outlets including The Coffee Bean, Tea Leaf, and Second Cup. It has also partnered with Unilever, L’Oreal, and Jazz to provide its services at supermarkets, and public areas.

Zoom Out: ezWiFi plans to use the funds to build a team and expand into other markets in Africa, South Asia, and the Gulf.

In the future, ezWiFi wants to install internet at schools, universities, and hospitals, and make a network of hotspots.
