Sabhi has launched its Identity Operating System, IDOS in a step towards democratizing Pakistan’s digital ecosystem. Identity verification is now as simple as a click.
Tell me more: Sabhi’s IDOS makes it possible to directly link customer accounts to verified government documents. Financial institutions and fintech companies can now integrate identity verification seamlessly into their apps and websites. The IDOS uses “proprietary face verification and liveness detection software.”
Previously, most banks could utilize government records for verification. Now, public and private entities can get access to verified information with Sabhi’s IDOS.
How it works: The customer can make an account using their mobile phone and a photo ID.
- The system scans the customer’s ID and detects whether it’s genuine or fraudulent.
- The customer then takes a selfie or a short video and the AI matches the facial biometrics with the photo ID.
- A confidence score is generated based on the customer’s ID and face.
You should know: The initial grant funding for developing the Sabhi platform was provided by The Islamic Development Bank (IsDB).
