OrbitEd raises $500,000 in pre-seed funding

OrbitEd, an Islamabad-based EdTech startup, raised $500,000 in pre-seed funding from Boost VC.

Elevator pitch: Immersive AR/VR experiences for training and education.

Tell me more: When OrbitEd first started in 2018, it wanted to revolutionize traditional classroom learning using Augmented Reality.

This was accomplished by recreating the school curriculum in a more interactive cloud platform containing 3D textbook visualizations.

But in 2021, it launched into the corporate training industry as well in an attempt to expand its reach.

With OrbitEd’s gamified learning platform, businesses can strengthen their employees’ soft and technical skills and help them reach their full potential.

You should know: OrbitEd was founded in 2018 by Navera Waheed and Wajiha Habib. It is the second startup to be funded by Boost VC, which previously ran an accelerator program.

To date, OrbitEd has raised $800,000 in funding, including the $500,000 pre-seed.

It claims to have impacted the careers of more than 3,000 employees. Additionally, it claims that its interactive learning solution is “4 times faster and 3 times more efficient” than a traditional learning environment and e-learning alternatives.
